1.e-PG Pathshala
e-PG Pathshala is an initiative of the MHRD under its National Mission on
Education through ICT (NME-ICT) being executed by the UGC. The content and its
quality being the key component of education system, high quality,
curriculum-based, interactive e-content in 70 subjects across all disciplines
of social sciences, arts, fine arts and humanities, natural & mathematical
sciences,
2.National Digital library of India
The National Digital library of India is a project under Ministry of Human
Resource Development, India. The objective is to collect and collate metadata
and provide full text index from several national and international digital
libraries, as well as other relevant sources.
3.MIT OpenCourseWare
MIT OpenCourseWare makes the materials used in the teaching of almost all
of MIT's subjects available on the Web, free of charge. With more than 2,400
courses available.
4.Vidya-mitra
The INFLIBNET Centre has developed a web-based interface called
"Vidya-mitra: Integrated e-Content Portal" for all e-content
projects, developed / funded under the National Mission of Education through
ICT. There are more than 50 projects on e-content under NME-ICT which are
developed / being developed in various subject disciplines (science, arts,
engineering, social science, etc) through various Indian institutes /
universities / colleges.
5.SWAYAM
SWAYAM is a programme initiated by Government of India and designed to
achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy viz., access, equity
and quality. SWAYAM seeks to bridge the digital divide for students who have hitherto
remained untouched by the digital revolution and have not been able to join the
mainstream of the knowledge economy.
6.National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL)
The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was
initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur,
Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of
Science, Bangalore in 2003. 600 web and video courses were created in all major
branches of engineering, physical sciences at the undergraduate and
postgraduate levels and management courses at the postgraduate level.
7. Consortium for Educational Communication
Consortium for Educational Communication
popularly known as CEC is one of the Inter University Centres set up by
the University Grants Commission of India. It has been established with the
goal of addressing the needs of Higher Education through the use of powerful
medium of Television alongwith the appropriate use of emerging Information
Communication Technology (ICT).
