N-LIST

Nirmala college is registered for the N-LIST programme, which is an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) under the National Mission on Education through ICT. The N-LIST project provides access to e-resources to students, researchers and faculty from colleges and other beneficiary institutions through server(s) installed at the  college INFLIBNET Centre. The authorized users from college can access e-resources and download articles required by them directly from the publisher's website once they are duly authenticated as authorized users through servers deployed at the INFLIBNET Centre.The academic library  focus of student centered teaching learning process enhanced by the introduction of N-LIST.

N-LIST, members can tap into a vast repository comprising over 6000 e-journals and 31,35,000 ebooks from reputable publishers and databases, including:

6.National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL)

The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) was initiated by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 2003. 600 web and video courses were created in all major branches of engineering, physical sciences at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and management courses at the postgraduate level.

Who can borrow books from the Library? Students,Researchers,Faculty,Non Teaching Staffs.

Where do I check books out? Books may be checked out at circulation desk.  Not all books can be checked out, for example, reference works, rare books, and materials listed for Special Collections do not circulate and must be used in the  library's reading room.

Can I renew books? Just contact your library circulation counter  staff to renew  items.

Can I check out bound journal volumes? Most  journal titles/issues do not circulate and must be used in the  library's reading room.

DELNET / Inter Library Loan

To enhance the search for information across various online databases and union catalogs, our library has subscribed to a one-year membership with the Developing Library Network (DELNET), based at J.N.U Campus, New Delhi.

DELNET has recently launched a new discovery portal for its member libraries. This portal provides users with access to a wealth of resources, including research articles, e-books, e-journals, theses, books, and millions of bibliographic records.

Interlibrary Loan Services

Membership and Lending Books

The library provides a membership system for various categories of individuals, allowing them to borrow books based on their eligibility. The lending rules and borrowing periods are structured to accommodate the needs of different members while adhering to Kerala Government’s Order FJ/414/2017-HEDN dated 07-07-2018. Below is a detailed breakdown of the eligibility criteria and the respective loan period for each category of members:
