🔹 Module 1: Inventory Management (15 Hours)

Description:

This module focuses on maintaining accurate records of library holdings, stock verification, and shelf organization.

Work & Activities:

  • Understanding accession registers and stock records
  • Physical verification of books (Stock Checking)
  • Shelf reading and shelf rectification
  • Identifying missing, misplaced, or damaged books
  • Barcode verification and tagging
  • Preparing stock verification reports

🔹 Module 2: Collection Development (15 Hours)

Description:

Covers selection, acquisition, and evaluation of library materials.

  • OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) search techniques
